Bookkeeper Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to oversee and maintain accurate financial records for our organization. Our ideal candidate has a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (accounting CPE courses preferred) and is experienced with accounting software. You will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, supporting tax filings, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to ensure compliance with all legal and financial standards. Ultimately, you will be responsible for accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our community.

Responsibilities include:

• Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Ensure all transactions are accurately entered into the appropriate day books, ledgers, and general ledger
• Prepare books through the trial balance stage
• Conduct partial audits and checks of posted transactions
• Prepare and file tax forms and related documentation
• Enter data, maintain financial records, and produce reports and financial statements
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven professional experience in bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting and accounts payable/receivable procedures
• Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage financial data with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent data entry skills and strong numerical aptitude
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software systems
• Fluent in English with strong MS Office skills
• Customer service orientation with effective communication and negotiation skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• AS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday--Friday, Weekends, 8-hour shift
