Job Summary The Directional Drill Operator is responsible for operating a Horizontal Directional Drill in accordance with OSHA guidelines. This position is responsible for safety and may direct the workflow of a crew over drilling operations. The Directional Bore operator is responsible for the safety and quality of the crew.
Minimum Required Qualifications - Ability to meet background requirements and pass a drug test.

Major Duties and Responsibilities - Operate heavy equipment, including the directional Drill.
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
- Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment.
- Confer with the Project Manager, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
- Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
- Review and process damage claims.
- Follow the Company's policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
Additional Qualifications - 1+ years of construction work experience
- Understand all safety requirements per OSHA specifications.
- A valid Driver's License is required
- CDL-A preferred
- Experience with the operation of Drills and/ or other Heavy equipment.
Working Conditions - Field environment, working in inclement weather; Flexibility of schedule.
