STS Technical Services is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Waco, Texas to support a full-service MRO specializing in aircraft maintenance and modification programs. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced, certificated mechanic who’s ready to guide a team, ensure compliance, and deliver top-quality results on every project. Responsibilities Provide technical expertise and leadership to assigned maintenance teams. Distribute work cards and directives as assigned by the Line Supervisor or Program Manager. Perform hands-on maintenance work while overseeing the quality and efficiency of team members. Ensure all parts and components are properly tagged, identified, and stored. Verify that work is signed, stamped, and completed by properly certificated personnel. Ensure adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and quality procedures. Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) and maintain accurate OJT documentation. Communicate with the Program Manager regarding work progress, parts, and tooling requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Report any procedural or compliance deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisors. Supervise and guide non-certificated personnel performing maintenance tasks. Qualifications Current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or Repairman Certificate under FAR Part 65. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Technician. Minimum 2 years in a Lead Mechanic or Supervisory role. Proficiency in Systems or Interiors work. Experience with Boeing 767, 747, 737 and/or Airbus A330, A340 platforms preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical data accurately.
