The\nLead Principal Radiologic Technologist (LPRT), supervised by the General\nDiagnostic Manager and Medical Director, operates radiographic equipment to\nproduce diagnostic images following prescribed protocols and procedures. As the\nLPRT you will demonstrate proficiency in conducting procedures on patients\nacross all age groups, ensuring timely completion of studies with adherence to\nquality standards. Moreover, it is expected that you educate patients, assist\nin sterile technique procedures and uphold patient confidentiality throughout\nthe examination process. Additionally, proficiency in enhanced fluoroscopic\nduties in areas such as GI and GU arenas, Angiography, or Pediatric Diagnostics\nis an integral aspect of this position.

Training\nfor this role is required. The training will be variable days and shifts Monday\nthrough Friday. The training will primarily occur in our Westwood Hospital area\nas needed at Santa Monica and MLK Imaging areas. The\ntraining at those areas may take at least 3 months. The duration of training\nand days of the training will be at the discretion of your Direct Supervisor.

The LPRT is\nexpected to support UCLA healthcare radiology locations in the Westwood and\nSanta Monica region. Support at all radiology sites\nstaffed by UCLA Health is required. All Radiologic Technologists need to\npossess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance\nof duties assigned to the position; graduate of a Radiologic Technology\nTraining Program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent\ntraining, maintaining current CRT, CRT – Fluoro and ARRT licensure.

Salary: $55.94 - $73.81 Hourly

• ARRT\ncertification – required
• CRT license – required
• Fluoroscopic permit – required
• BCLS certificate from American Heart\nAssociation or American Red Cross– required
• Completion of minimum 2 years experience in\nGeneral Diagnostic environment – preferred  
• Specialized in more than two areas above and\nSpecial Fluoroscopic Procedures/C-Arms – preferred
• Ability to precept New Hires and Students
• Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program\ngraduate
• Ability to train, assess, and coach technologists in\nadvanced mammography and interventional procedures, ensuring clinical\ncompetency and protocol adherence
• Knowledge\nof medical terminology, with ability to distinguish between types of procedures\nwithin the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
• Skill\nin employing independent decision making while performing various job functions
• Telephone\nmanners and skills to handle heavy telephone lines with courtesy and tact
• Understand\nthe requirements of the EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor\nAct)
